The President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, meet at the White House this Tuesday afternoon (3). One of the agendas of the meeting is the fight against drug trafficking, a banner reinforced by Trump in recent months.
The meeting comes after a truce in January, through a telephone call, which put an end to hostile statements between the leaders. Trump had stated that a military operation against the Latin American country “sounds good” and that the Colombian president was involved in drug trafficking. In response, Petro said that Trump has a “senile brain.”
