Deliveries of the integrated T-155 TTA Panther howitzer to the Turkish Army will be completed in 2026, according to the project schedule.

According to information from ASPHALTdirector general Mustafa İlbaş, three additional units will be delivered in February, while the remaining 36 howitzers will be commissioned in three batches of 12 units each before the end of the year. The project’s first delivery had already been completed earlier.

The first system from the prototype delivery of the T-155 TTA Integrated Panther was officially incorporated into the Ground Forces Command on 5 November 2025, marking the start of the program’s operational phase.

System components and integration

The T-155 TTA Panther is the result of the integration of the 155mm weapon system from the towed Panther howitzer – modernized by MKE – with the fire control system developed by ASELSAN. The whole is installed on an 8×8 tactical vehicle developed by BMC. Integration work and main maintenance have been carried out by the responsible factory directorate.

During qualification, the prototype drove more than 20,000 km in various terrain conditions and completed about 350 shots in several scenarios. Environmental tests and performance evaluations were also carried out. After these tests were completed, the system was deemed ready for series production.

Schedule and series production

The project contract was signed in 2020 between AFGM and ASFAT. The schedule began in November 2021, with prototype integration completed in November 2022 and the first shots fired in December 2022. Following the completion of inspections in November 2025, the T-155 TTA Integrated Panther entered serial production.

Designed to meet the requirements of the artillery class and integrated on an 8×8 vehicle, the system offers high mobility, rapid grouping and long-range precision fire, strengthening the Turkish ground force’s firepower.
