Warner Bros decided to unanimously reject a billion-dollar purchase proposal made by Paramount.
According to Warner’s board, the deal, valued at more than $108 billion, was considered risky and less advantageous than the merger already announced with Netflix, signed last month.
According to the company’s assessment, Paramount’s offer would require a high level of debt, which would increase uncertainty about the completion of the transaction.
Given this scenario, the company recommended that investors refuse the investment and reaffirmed its support for the agreement with Netflix, estimated at around 82 billion dollars.
