The president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, one of the leaders of Chavismo, stated this Thursday (8) that a significant number of prisoners, both foreigners and Venezuelans, will be released in the coming hours.
The releases, a frequent demand of the country’s opposition, are a gesture of peace, Rodríguez said, adding that the action was unilateral and not agreed with any other party.
