Authorities said he was traveling with his family when the car was intercepted. The criminals took the family’s personal belongings and kidnapped the businessman, leaving the other occupants on the highway. Radillo’s body was found two days later, near the scene of the crime. According to El Universal, the body showed signs of violence and gunshot wounds. The region where the kidnapping took place is considered dangerous. The group led by Radillo was founded in 1954 and is known in Mexico for producing drinks such as tequilas, wines and liqueurs. The Corona Group, however, is not the same one that produces Corona beer. Despite its Mexican origin, the brand belongs to Grupo Modelo, currently controlled by the Belgian-Brazilian multinational Anheuser-Busch InBev.
