The NGO Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported this Sunday (11) that at least 538 people died in protests in Iran. The organization opposes the ayatollahs’ regime and operates from the United States.

Of the 538 dead, 48 were members of the Iranian security forces and 490 protesters, including eight minors.

According to the numbers provided to EFE Agency by Skylar Thompson, deputy director of HRANA, the number of deaths in the 15 days of protests could reach 579, although this figure is still in the process of being verified.
Since the beginning of the mobilization, 10,675 people have been arrested, of which 160 were minors and 52 were students.
The protests are taking place in hundreds of cities in Iran, where there has been no internet or telephone coverage for more than 72 hours.
The demonstrations, which initially arose due to the country’s poor economic situation, became complaints against the Islamic Republic and the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
