India unveiled Suryastra, a new high-precision multiple missile launch system, which was unveiled in Jaipur during an Army Day exercise.

The presentation officially unveiled the Indian Army’s new indigenously developed platform, created to augment the Army’s precision strike capabilities in various operational scenarios.

Based on the technology of Israel’s PULS system, the Suryastra was shown in a configuration capable of launching 370 mm Predator Hawk missiles with a range of up to 300 km, as well as 306 mm guided missiles with a range of up to 150 km.

The system functions as a universal rocket launcher capable of using different calibers and ammunition without requiring structural modifications to the platform.

The presentation was held after the signing of an approximately $69 million contract between the Indian Army and NIBE Limited to supply the system in collaboration with Israeli companies.

According to defense authorities, the Suryastra will complement the Pinaka system and help modernize India’s missile artillery while increasing the range and accuracy of long-range strike operations.
