Hyundai Motor Company has officially unveiled the STARIA Electric at the Brussels Motor Show, marking the premiere of the first all-electric version of its flagship MPV.
The model combines emission-free mobility, human-centered design and practical solutions for different lifestyles and sets a new standard in its segment.
As the brand’s flagship MPV, the STARIA Electric reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to electrification, now applied to a car known for its generous interior space and versatility.

The drive system consists of a battery with a capacity of 84 kWh connected to a 160 kW (218 hp) electric motor with front wheel drive. The 800V electrical architecture enables repeated rapid charging with lower heat generation, with DC charging from 10% to 80% taking approximately 20 minutes. The range according to the WLTP cycle reaches up to 400 km.
According to Xavier Martinet, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, the aim is to make electric driving “practical and efficient for real use” by combining the familiar space and flexibility of the STARIA with a high-voltage system and an upgraded interior designed for the European market.

“Inside Out” concept and customizable interior
STARIA Electric maintains the principles that define the STARIA family: a human-centered approach, high comfort and intuitive functionality. The “Inside Out” design theme prioritizes the cabin and shapes the exterior around it with a long body, low window line and large glass areas. The result is an excellent view and a sense of spaciousness with plenty of natural light and a clear layout.
Inside, the flat floor and large dimensions create a lounge-like atmosphere. The seating arrangement is designed to adapt to different uses — from daily commuting and family trips to professional passenger transport and leisure activities. Quiet drive contributes to comfort in the city and on the highway.

Technology, connectivity and security
The model debuts with a horizontally designed dashboard and a pair of 12.3-inch displays, complemented by a new generation ccNC infotainment system with over-the-air (OTA) updates. Convenience features include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), 100W USB ports and a digital key.
In terms of safety, the STARIA Electric is equipped with a comprehensive package of Hyundai SmartSense ADAS assistance systems, which ensures support and safety in city traffic, on highways and when parking. Towing capacity reaches up to 2,000 kg, which expands usability for both commercial and leisure purposes.

Marketing and production
STARIA Electric will go on sale in Korea and Europe in the first half of 2026, with other markets to follow later. Production is planned at Hyundai’s plant in Ulsan, South Korea.
