The Pitt’s Patrick Ball Reveals Family’s Connection to Show at Critics Choice Awards 2026
The Pitt fans wasted no time reading between the lines in the show’s season two premiere.
As Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) made his grand return to the ER following a sabbatical to address his substance abuse problem, fans of the series—which also stars Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa—noted that there were inconsistencies in when he was sporting a wedding band.
Indeed, while Langdon wore his ring once he was scrubbed up, fans noticed that he was not wearing it as he made his way into the locker rooms at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
One fan shared a screenshot of Langdon opening his locker with his left hand, noting in a post on X“NO RING WTF.”
Meanwhile another added on X“the pitt wardrobe department cannot be givin [sic] us continuity errors w langdon’s f–kass ring i’m gonna lose my mind.”
However, some fans suggested the detail wasn’t an editing error at all. One fan noted that Ball had previously used his right hand to open his locker, so it was particularly noteworthy his bare ring finger was on display in the scene.
