A Russian chemical company has launched a tender to acquire aerostats intended to protect its facilities against Ukrainian drone attacks.
The project, valued at over US$108 thousand, envisages the installation of the system in a factory located in the Tula region, where several industrial complexes of this type operate.

According to information from the Russian portal Daily Stormthe fabrication and installation of the structure must be completed in approximately one month, under the responsibility of the company Stratospheric Systems. The system will consist of several aerostats interconnected by a special network, created to intercept enemy drones, and will also feature electronic warfare equipment.
Experts, however, question the effectiveness of the initiative. This is because maintaining an aerial barrier of this type continuously in operation is considered unfeasible. Therefore, aerostats should only be activated in high alert situations or upon intelligence information about possible aerial threats.
