The American company Target Arm Inc. presented an innovative robotic system capable of launching and catching drones in motion at the AUSA 2025 exhibition.

The system, called Ralar Modular Mission Payload (MMP), represents a significant advancement for drone operations in high-risk environments, as vehicles and aircraft can perform these tasks without stopping.

The system was showcased in combination with GM Defense’s Infantry Squad Vehicle – Utility (ISV-U), highlighting its application in tactical reconnaissance and attack missions near the front lines. Ralar’s robotic arm can intercept drones in mid-flight, reducing soldier exposure and increasing the agility of operations.

The system’s precision is guaranteed by Trimble Inc.’s positioning technology, which synchronizes the vehicle’s movement with the drone.

Designed to be modular and compatible with different platforms, the Ralar system can be installed on land vehicles, robots or aircraft without any structural modifications to the drones. According to Target Arm, the system is also prepared for future integration with autonomous systems and AI-powered drone arming, providing greater flexibility and safety in dynamic military missions.
