Trump confirms third meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House

The President of the United States, Donald Trump confirmed this Monday (13) that he will have a third meeting, at the White House, with the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky. The meeting is scheduled to take place next Friday (17).

During his visit to the White House, the Ukrainian leader intends to discuss a series of security measures. The main one will be Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defense, constantly breached by Russian drone and missile attacks. In recent days, the country has been the target of a wave of bombings targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure and residential areas.

On August 18, Donald Trump received Zelensky in Washington, days after meeting with Putin, in Alaska, in an attempt to forge a peace agreement. Unable to convince the Russian leader to put an end to the war, Donald Trump began to criticize Vladimir Putin, showing himself to be more sensitive to Zelensky’s demands to protect Ukraine.

The situation proved to be very different from that when the Ukrainian was received for the first time at the White House, and was publicly humiliated by Trump and Vice President JDVance, even being “thrown” out of the White House by government agents.
