The victims are Yendri Velásquez, a human rights and LGBTQIA+ activist, and Luis Peche, a political analyst. According to Colombian police, both were in stable health condition after being shot while leaving a building. The two had lived in Colombia since September 2024, fleeing political persecution in Venezuela.
