For Channing, including his daughter in his career path has been essential for their dynamic. As he reflected, “Even if they don’t even understand what those decisions are until later, I think it’s important for them to feel a part of it.”
As Everly enters her teenage years, the Step Up alum knows he’s in for a lot—and he’s already gotten a taste of it.
“She was always pretty opinionated, very strong-willed, but now it’s like just on a whole different level,” he revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show Oct. 9. “I got yelled at in an escape room yesterday. Like she’s never yelled at me before.”
“All I did was like, ‘I wonder what,'” he recalled as he went to grab something, “She’s like, ‘Dad, don’t touch that!’ I’m like, ‘Whoa, what was that?’ We’re both trying to solve this problem and now I feel like we have to go to therapy because of that moment.”
