Jessica Simpson‘s daughter Birdie Mae couldn’t resist this opportunity.
The “Irresistible” singer shared that when her 6-year-old’s school hosted Spirit Week, Birdie jumped at the chance to channel mom for “dress as your favorite artist” day.
Sharing a picture of the grade schooler, Jessica—who shares Birdie plus kids Maxwell Drew13, and Ace knot12, with ex Eric Johnson—wrote on Instagram Oct. 9, “Bird wanted to dress up as meeeeee.”
Indeed, Birdie’s outfit was littered with Easter eggs referencing her mom’s decades-long career. In addition to rocking a black tee with the cover art to Jessica’s 1999 album Sweet KissesBirdie wore denim shorts as a nod to her Dukes of Hazzard character, as well as silver cowboy boots made for walkin’.
She completed the look with a plethora of costume jewelry, including bejeweled cocktail rings and a statement necklace with green gems. To really tap into her mom’s spirit, Birdie posed next to a microphone.
