Vietnam presented the new self-propelled artillery system on PTH-130 wheels, developed from the Russian truck chassis Kamaz-6560.
The equipment, which uses a 130 mm cannon, represents an advance in the modernization of Arsenal Vietnamese and was caught in images released by defense enthusiasts on social networks.

The photos show Vietnamese technicians adapting the system, previously mounted on a Ukrainian Kraz-255B chassis, to the Kamaz-6560 (8 × 8) platform, which offers greater mobility and resistance. The booth of the new vehicle appears to have received reinforced ballistic protection, capable of resisting 7.62 mm caliber shots, although there is no official confirmation on weaponry changes.
The PTH-130 is based on the 130 mm M-46 cannon, used to reach enemy positions, armored vehicles and fortifications. It can fire fragmentation projectiles with a range of 27 km and, with rocket assisted ammunition, reaches about 37 km.
Development follows the line of other Vietnamese projects, such as the PTH-105, which used an American Obus mounted on a Ural truck.
