The Foreign Ministry of Israel has announced that Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and 170 other Flotilla activists intercepted on their way to Gaza were deported on Monday (6).
“Another 171 provocators of the Hamas-Sumud Flotilha, including Greta Thunberg, were deported today from Israel to Greece and Slovakia,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement released on social network X.
The detainees took off from Ramon International Airport in the south of the country to Greece and Slovakia, informed the folder, sharing in the announcement images of Greta and other activists wearing gray sweats and white t -shirts as they go to their respective flights.
Among the deported are citizens of Greece, Sweden, Italy, France, Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Denmark, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, according to Israel.
With this group, more than 340 activists have already been deported between Saturday and this Monday, out of a total of about 470 detainees after the Flotilha interception.
The Israeli government pointed out that “all legal rights of participants in this opposition to public relations were and will continue to be fully respected.”
The statement arises amid allegations of aggression and “widespread violence” against activists in Israel. Adalah lawyers, Flotilha’s legal team, said on Sunday night that the detainees claimed to have been assaulted during the transfer of Porto to the prison and the early days of detention.
