A mechanic who revealed the biggest lie he hears from his customers is gaining a lot of support from other shop owners.

Alex KacshCEO of Accurate Automotive in Colorado (USA), said he gets particularly frustrated when customers try to blame a current issue with their car on a recent repair.

“You drive 20,000 miles — which, if you think about it, is one, two, three, four oil changes. Is there a chance something happened? Absolutely. And this is where integrity comes into play,” he explained in the video, which has already received over 49,000 views.

According to him, the deeper issue isn’t just a customer complaint — it’s a breach of trust.

“Integrity is what happens when people aren’t watching you,” Kacsh argued. “Mistakes will happen, and we need to own them. But relationships need to be authentic, and they are reciprocal.”
