Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized on Monday (29) to pick up the attack on Doha on the 9th, which aimed at the political leadership of the terrorist group Hamas.
Sources from the Axios and CNN website reported that Israeli prime Minister called the White House, where he meets today with President Donald Trump, to Qatar Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim al-Thani.
According to one of these sources, Netanyahu did not say that he was regretting Hamas, but apologized to the Catarian Prime Minister for violating Qatar’s sovereignty as he made the attack and regretted the death of an Arab country security officer, the result of bombing.
The apology is part of an agreement for Qatar to press Hamas to accept the Trump government’s 21 points proposal to end the war, one of the sources heard by Axios and CNN said.
Shortly after the news, the White House confirmed in a statement that Netanyahu made the apology and reported that Bin Jassim Al-Thani welcomed Israel’s guarantees that he will make no other attack in the future, “emphasizing the disposition of Qatar to continue contributing significantly to regional security and stability. Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his commitment to him.”
On the 9th, Israel’s defense forces (FDI) performed an air strike against the Hamas political HQ, located in Doha. The terrorist group claimed that five of its members were killed, but were not part of the lead.
On the same day, Trump criticized Israel’s attack on Qatar, an ally of Washington who had been mediating the negotiations between Israeli and Hamas, stating that bombing “does not promote the goals of Israel or the United States,” but said the goal of eliminating the terrorist group is a “noble objective.”
Bin Jassim Al-Thani ranked the Israeli attack as “state terrorism” and said the Arab country “reserves the right to respond.”
Two days after the attack, Netanyahu released a video message in which he did not express regret – on the contrary: he said that if the Qatar does not expel the Hamas leaders from his territory or not to lead them to court, his country will do it.
