Shot attack against church leaves a dead in church in Michigan

A shot attack left one dead and nine injured in a Mormon church in the city of Grand Blanc, in the American state of Michigan, on Sunday (28). The shooter, who carried a rifle, was killed by two police officers.

The episode occurred in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, where the gunman, besides the shots, deliberately burned the temple. The firefighters were called to contain the flames.

Authorities identified the perpetrator as a 40 -year -old man in the city of Burton, also in the same state.

At the time of the attack, hundreds of faithful were at the scene.

United States Attorney General Pam Bondi detailed that FBI agents were sent to the scene.

“This violence in a place of worship is to break the heart and goose bump. Please join me in prayer for the victims of this terrible tragedy,” he said.

Meanwhile, FBI director Kash Patel made the agency available to local authorities and classified the incident of a “cowardly and criminal” act.

President Donald Trump has regretted the “horrible shooting at the Church” and has ensured that the “FBI will lead federal investigation by providing full support to state and local authorities.”

“The suspect is dead, but there is still much to learn. This seems to be another Christian attack in the United States. The Trump government will keep the audience informed, as we always do,” he continued.

The Republican also called for prayers for “victims and their families.” “This epidemic of violence in our country should end immediately!” Completed the president.
