27 -year -old British pilot suffers serious accident and is put in a coma after falling in Donington Park

Superbike’s British star Callum Grigor, 27, is in an induced coma after a serious accident on Saturday (September 6) during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship race at the Donington Park circuit in England.

The pilot, born in Wishaw, Scotland, fell on the first lap, approaching the Goddard curve, and eventually collided with the motorcycle of competitor Manx Nathan Harrison.

According to the official British Superbike (BSB) statement, the race was immediately interrupted with red flag, and the two riders received care from the medical team at the site.

“Callum Grigor was found in serious condition and required immediate intervention on the track, including being placed in an induced coma. He was taken to the Medical Center Queen’s in Nottingham for specialized assessment and care,” the organization said.

Nathan Harrison suffered an isolated injury to one of his members and was also transferred to the hospital.
