The first superjet-100 fully set in series with Russian technology took off in Komsomolsk-On-AMUR, marking a new advance for the country’s aviation industry. The test flight lasted about an hour and was successful, according to United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
The project is part of the import policy applied by the Russian aviation sector. Several foreign systems and units were exchanged for national equipment, including the new PD-8 engines, developed by United Engine Corporation (UEC).

The modification also involved the structure of the fuselage, adapted for the integration of new Russian systems and to facilitate the production and maintenance process.
Certification and series production
Superjet’s revised fuselage and manufacturing technologies had already been jointly certified by the aircraft developer, aviation authorities and Rosaviatsiya. With this, production was able to advance based on series project documentation, ensuring standardization and reliability.
The aircraft are being set up at the aviation factory in Komsomolsk-On-AMUR, where new equipment and assembly booths of national origin have been installed.
Fleet in Production
According to Rostec, 24 series aircraft are currently in different assembly stages. The state -owned company stressed that the new jet represents Russia’s ability to maintain its position as an aeronautical power, even in the absence of foreign suppliers.
“The first plane built with series technology took place. It is already corresponding to the final configuration planned for delivery. The certification process is still underway, but the 24 machines at different stages of readily confirm Russia’s strength to create modern aircraft in international cooperation and independently,” Rostec said.
