The Metropolitan Police of London reported on Monday that they indicated 47 people for the charge of supporting the Palestinian action, considered a terrorist group by the United Kingdom government since July.

According to information from the BBC, the 47 accused were arrested in a demonstration in London in the last month and were summoned to attend the Westminster Magistrates Court in October.

Metropolitan police said in a statement that the defendants are aged 18 to 81 and can take feathers up to six months in prison.

“We fully recognize the right of people to manifest themselves peacefully, and thousands continue to protest in support of Palestine without violating anti -terrorism laws,” said Helen Flanagan, head of investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

In all, 114 people in London have already been indicted for supporting Palestinian action, a British activist group that was prohibited and included in the UK terrorist organizations list after its members vandalized in the previous month of the Royal Air Force (RAF) at the base of Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, which generated damage of 7 million pounds (about $ 51.6 million).

“Since its inception in 2020, the group orchestrated a national campaign of material damage, with attacks that resulted in serious damage to the property and crossed the threshold of direct criminal action to terrorism,” said the British government, including the Palestinian action on its list of terrorist organizations.
