Residents beg for help in villages destroyed by earthquake in Afghanistan; Government asks for international help

The 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in the east of the country, about 130 km from the capital Cabul, and had a depth of 8 km – considering near the surface, which causes greater destruction. Residents of the capital also felt the tremor. Clay and stone houses were destroyed in neighborhoods near the border with Pakistan, according to Afghan authorities.
