Crimea returns to the center of debates in negotiations to ceasefire

In 1954, the then Soviet leader Nikita khrushchovhe himself born in a village near Ukraine, approved the transfer of Crimea to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine. The decision had a symbolic motivation, at a time when the dissolution of the USSR was not on the horizon.
