The federal government will deliver on Monday (18) to the US government the response on commercial investigation opened by the United States, whose targets are PIX.
The document will be filed by the Brazilian embassy in Washington. The US government accused Brazil of committing “unfair” practices, harming the local economy. Other targets of the investigation are the application of anti -corruption measures and the commercialization of Brazilian ethanol.
“Brazil also seems to be involved in a series of unfair practices regarding electronic payment services, including, among others, the promotion of its electronic payment services developed by the government,” reveals excerpt from the document.
According to Itamaraty, a task force formed by various organs was created to elaborate the response of the Brazilian government.
The North-Andercian measure was based by Section 301 of the 1974 Commerce Law. It provides for the determination of unfair foreign practices that impact American trade. Judgment will take place in the United States.
