The government of Belarus concluded the tactical-specific exercise “Voenkor-2025”, an intensive training program aimed at state media journalists.

The closing ceremony took place in a unit of special operations, in the presence of high military officials.

For seven days, the participants – all from average controlled by the state – followed an extreme journalism course under the direct supervision of the armed forces.

The program included emergency medical training, shooting exercises, topographical navigation, forest survival, soil orientation and protocols for interaction with military units during combat operations.

Specific conduct were also taught in case of capture, in line with the official narrative of the government.

During the ceremony, the assistant of the Minister of Defense for ideological work in the Armed Forces and head of the main department for ideological work, General Maggiore Leonid Kasinsky, thanked the journalists and delivered official completion and souvenirs.

In his speech, he underlined the importance of journalists “prepared to perform their mission in extreme situations”, strengthening the integration between state press and military apparatus.
The initiative, presented as professional training, is seen by critics as a further mechanism of indoctrination and ideological alignment, consolidating the dependence of state media on the directives of the government of Alexander Lukashenko.

Organizations such as Reporter without borders and the Committee to Protect Journalists place Belarus among countries with the least freedom of the press in the world – in 2024 it was among the last positions of the global ranking.
