Trump’s statement is old and was publicly made G1 circulates on social networks a video in which US president Donald Trump says he wants to be obeyed by the American people as it happens in Kim Jong-un’s North Korea. #It’s not quite like that. Seal is not quite art 🟡 What does the publication say? Published this Wednesday (13) in X and with more than 170,000 views, the post states: “and leaked a video from Trump saying that he wants the American people following him the same in North Korea.” The record in question of 20 seconds is real: it is an interview given by the president of the United States to a TV channel-but the post omits that it took place on June 15, 2018, and not recently (read details below). At the time, Trump was asked about receiving Kim Jong-un at the White House. Answer: “That could happen. I would receive it. I think this can happen. He is the head of a country. And so he is a strong leader – don’t let anyone think anything different from that. He says, and his people sits and pay attention. I want my people to do the same.” In the comments section, one questioned, “Is this video real? When was it?” ⚠️ Why isn’t it quite? The fact or fake submitted the viral record to the Hiya tool, which detects artificial intelligence manipulated audios. The analysis pointed out that Trump’s statement was not manufactured with this feature – ie it is authentic. To find the original video, the fact or fake used Invid platform to fragment viral content into various frames (static images). Then a reverse search was done by one of these photos on Google Lens – this action allows you to identify older publications of a material on the internet. The result of the survey led to Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” TV show, which showed off an interview from Trump to reporters on June 15, 2018, in the White House Rose Garden. To the channel reporter, Trump dealt with the meeting he had had with Kim Jong-un days earlier, in Singapore, saying, “He says, and his people get attention. I want my people to do the same. We got along very well, we had a good chemistry. I don’t know if this is popular or politically correct to say. But we really had a good chemistry.” Following, when questioned by a CNN reporter about the comment about Kim Jong-un, the US president replied, “I was kidding. You don’t understand sarcasm. You’re the worst.” According to a statement from the White House released shortly after that June 12, 2018 meeting, “leaders discussed broadly and sincere the creation of new US and North Korea and the construction of lasting peace in the Korean peninsula.” In 2019, a second meeting made Trump the first US president to step on North Korean territory.
