Extreme heat and forest fires leave victims in Europe

Forest fires hit parts of Europe on Tuesday (12), raising to three the number of victims caused by burning and the heat wave that advances over the continent.

Risk alerts for heat were issued in countries such as Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Balkans region. In France, temperatures exceeded 40 ° C.

In Spain, a man died of serious burns suffered by the forest fires that hit the municipality of Tres Cantos, outside Madrim on Monday night (11).

In other regions of the country, firefighters and nearly 1,000 soldiers fight fires driven by strong winds in Castile and Lion, Castela-It Mancha, Andalusia and Galicia. Thousands of people were taken from the regions, including about 2,000 tourists in the south of the country.

In Montenegro, one soldier died and another was seriously injured when the top truck they were overturned. They fought forest fires in the hills north of the capital, Podgoric.

In Italy, a four -year -old was found unconscious inside a car and died after suffering a heart attack caused by sunstroke.
