The 16th Mechanization Division of Pomerania received an additional 18 K2GF tanks that were demolished at the Gdansk Port between 11 and 12 August 2025.
This shipment is part of the contract signed in 2022 with South Korea for the procurement of 180 units of the model. With this shipment, Poland now has 151 operational tanks, leaving only 29 units to complete the agreed first batch.

K2GF – variants modified from K2 Black Panther made in South Korea – are equipped with adjustments according to the demand of the Polish Army, including a compatible communication system with NATO standards, increased shot control, and adjustments to operate in extreme climate conditions in Central and Eastern Europe.
Considered as one of the most sophisticated tanks in the world, K2GF combines high mobility, composite steel layers, and 120 mm cannon firing power, offering multipurpose combat capabilities in various tactical scenarios.
