Ukrainian company Frontline has teamed up with Estonia’s Milrem Robotics to successfully integrate the Buria turret, equipped with the 40mm automatic grenade launcher Mk19 in the tracking unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) THEMIS.
The platform demonstrated accuracy and stability in tests conducted in Ukraine, hitting targets over 1.1km away.
The Buria system has been in mass production since January 2025 and has been introduced into combat support forces through specialized training programs. The company aims to adapt to various missions on the battlefield and expand its scope of operation, and additional tests are scheduled for performance evaluation in a variety of situations.
According to Frontline, the integration not only shows technological advances, but also represents an example of successful cooperation between Ukraine and European military technology manufacturers. The turret allows for more efficient aiming adjustment than a traditional tripod, allowing you to attack multiple targets within a few seconds, allowing you to fire remotely by specifying a point on the map and inputting coordinates.
