French manufacturer Dassault Aviation has completed the production of the first Rafale B hunt for Indonesia Air Force. The aircraft, identified by the serial number T-0301, was seen in July 2025 at the company’s factory in Bordeaux.
Indonesia commissioned 42 rafale fighter units in different contracts, aiming to modernize and expand its fleet of combat aircraft, with the forecast to receive the first plane in 2026 and complete deliveries by 2035.

In the first half of 2025, Dassault produced seven Rafale fighters, three for the use of France and four for export, including the Indonesian order. The agreement with Indonesia involves not only the sale of aircraft, but also crew training, logistical support for various air bases and the implementation of a training center with complete simulators. Indonesia thus plans to replace the purchase of SU-35 Russian fighters with French models Rafale and Americans F-15ex.
In addition, the country also signed a contract to acquire 48 Kaan fighters from Türkiye, an agreement closed during the IDEF25 Defense Fair in Istanbul. This diversification of suppliers reflects Indonesia’s strategy to strengthen its air military capacity with modern aircraft from different origins.
