The presenter Fausto Silva, known as Faustão, is hospitalized at Albert Einstein Hospital, in the south of São Paulo. The unit confirmed to Band on Thursday (7), but did not report the reason for hospitalization.
At age 75, Faustão underwent two recent transplants – one heart in August 2023, after diagnosis of heart failure, and one kidney in February 2024. Since then, he holds hemodialysis sessions and frequent consultations for monitoring transplanted organs.
In December 2024 he was again admitted to the same hospital to treat an infection, being discharged on January 25, 2025. Since May 2023, when he left the command of the program “Faustão no Band”, the presenter remains away from television and continues with continuous medical follow -up.
The hospitalization takes place on the same day that his son, João Silva, canceled a party he would hold in a luxury neighborhood of São Paulo. The event, which would gather guests such as Bruna Marquezine, Ana Maria Braga, Angelica, Anitta, Neymar and Bruno Gagliasso, was postponed to August 20.
