Belarus has recorded a record number of incursions of Russian Kamikaze Droni in July, with at least 96 of these aircraft detected during the month, according to an investigation by the Flagstaff initiative.
Only on the night of July 30, 26 drones were knocked down in the country’s aerial space. This volume represents the maximum documented, exceeding the peak previous in December and by far exceeding the numbers recorded between February and June.
The residents reported multiple sightings, including drones that flocked regions such as Brahin, Homel, Mozyr and Narowlya, as well as areas near the border with Ukraine. In 2023, 145 Shad -type drones were recorded in Belarus type, 36 of which they crossed the Ukrainian territory and 109 disappeared from the radars.
A separate accident attracted attention at the end of July, when a drone fell near Minsk. The authorities said that it was a Ukrainian appliance, but witnesses and activists of the Belpol group contested this version, claiming that the aircraft came from the management of Russia, with the noise of the engine heard north of the capital Belarusian.
