Died on Saturday (02), at the age of 82, journalist José Roberto Dias Guzzo. He was one of the founders of West Magazine, as well as integrating the editorial board and being the main columnist. According to the magazine, death was due to a heart attack.
Jr Guzzo, as he signed the texts he published, became his career occupying the position of director of writing of Veja, commanding the growth of the magazine that would reach the third circulation of the world. He participated in the founding team of Veja magazine, as an editor of Internacional, as well as directing Exame magazine and integrating the Abril editorial board. He also signed columns in The State of S. Paulo, Gazeta do Povo and Portal Metrópoles.
Guzzo covered historical events such as the Vietnam War and was the only Brazilian journalist to follow the trip of US President Richard Nixon to Mao Tse-Tung China. So far, there is no information about the wake and burial.
