The Federal Supreme Court (STF) rescheduled to Carla Zambelli’s judgment on August 15 for illegal possession of a firearm and illegal embarrassment with firearm use.
The trial takes place in the Virtual Plenary of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has already formed a majority of 6 votes to 0 for the conviction of 5 years and 3 months in prison under a semi -open regime. In March, Minister Nunes Marques asked for a view and returned the process for deliberation this Friday (01).
In addition to the rapporteur of the case, Minister Gilmar Mendes has already voted for the conviction the ministers Cristiano Zanin, Luis Roberto Barroso, Carmen Lúcia, Flávio Dino and Alexandre de Moraes. They also spoke for the loss of mandate for criminal conviction.
The case in which the federal deputy is defendant occurred on the eve of the second round of the 2022 elections. Zambelli chased journalist Luan Araújo after exchanging provocations during a political act in the Jardins neighborhood of São Paulo.
