The Jonas Brothers journeyed through some trying times after their 2013 breakup.
After years of touring the world and releasing hit albums, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas reached a breaking point and ultimately went their separate ways. But their six year hiatus wasn’t just an opportunity to branch out musically, it also allowed them to rebuild their bond as brothers before bandmates.
“We had to certainly do some healing and have some tough conversations,” Nick said in E! News’ exclusive sneak peek of the July 31 episode of Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals. “We also just had to create new memories together. And better times that weren’t work related, that were just us being family.”
Still, they didn’t shy away from tackling their differences head-on, which they detailed in their 2019 documentary Chasing Happiness. And for Joe—who began the band with his brothers in 2005—having the private space to speak with Nick, 32, and Kevin, 37, allowed them to reach a place where they could fully rekindle those personal and professional dynamics.
