Don’t expect to see Zendaya at the 2026 Met Gala.
Ahead of the big event, Elle reported on Friday (May 1) that the 29-year-old Emmy-winning actress will NOT be attending the fashion event that will be taking place on Monday, May 4 in New York City.
The outlet reports that after doing two near-simultaneous press tours for her new movie The Drama and Euphoria season three, Zendaya is taking a break from the spotlight before she starts promoting her two new movies, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will both be released in theaters over the summer.
Earlier this week on Wednesday (April 29), Zendaya was spotted in Sherman Oaks, Calif. supporting longtime love, and rumored husband, Tom Holland at his Bero Padel Classic event.
Over the years, Zendaya has attended the Met Gala seven times. She made her debut in 2015 and in 2024, she co-chaired the big event and famously walked the red carpet in two stunning looks.
She attended the Met Gala last year in an all-white suit by Louis Vuitton.
