According to the Israeli leader, the cancer was not metastasizing. “A year and a half ago, I underwent successful surgery to treat an enlarged (benign) prostate and, since then, I have been undergoing routine medical follow-up. In the last follow-up, a small spot, less than a centimeter in size, was identified in the prostate. The operation should take place on Sunday. At the time, Netanyahu was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by a benign enlarged prostate, according to his office. In his publication, Netanyahu said he had asked that the release of information about his health condition be postponed due to the war against Iran, in which Israel is involved alongside the United States. “I asked that the release be delayed by two months, so that it would not occur at the height of the war, in order to not allow the terror regime in Iran to disseminate more false propaganda against Israel,” he writes. “I had a minor medical problem with my prostate, which was completely treated,” he continues. According to the post, doctors said that this type of problem is very common in people his age – Netanyahu is 76 years old – and that he could just follow up or undergo treatment to “eliminate the problem”. “I underwent a targeted treatment that eliminated the problem without leaving a trace. I attended a few short treatments, read a book and continued working. The stain disappeared completely”, adds the Prime Minister.
