Porsche is entering the next phase of its EV strategy, and the Cayenne Electric is leading the charge. After introducing the standard SUV earlier this year, the automaker is now debuting a more design-focused variant: the Cayenne Coupe Electric.

Beneath the surface, it’s essentially the same vehicle as the standard Cayenne Electric. The difference is almost entirely in the styling. The Coupe features a sleeker, more distinctive exterior, with a greater emphasis on aerodynamics—without sacrificing space, comfort, or the model’s standout performance.

Most Powerful Porsche Ever

The Cayenne Coupe’s performance is hard to ignore. With up to 1,156 horsepower and a 0–62 mph time of around 2.5 seconds, the Cayenne Coupe Electric is the most powerful production Porsche ever built, beating even the Taycan Turbo GT.

Mechanically, it mirrors the standard model. An 800-volt architecture supports charging speeds of up to 400 kilowatts, allowing a 10–80 percent recharge in as little as 16 minutes. A roughly 113.0 kilowatt-hour battery powers dual electric motors—one on each axle—for all-wheel drive. To improve efficiency, the front motor can decouple when full power isn’t needed.

At launch, Porsche will offer three power levels. The base model produces 408 hp (442 hp with overboost), the S delivers 544 hp (666 hp with overboost), and the range-topping Turbo makes 857 hp—or up to 1,156 hp with overboost. The chassis technology is equally advanced, featuring adaptive air suspension, Porsche Active Ride for precise damper control, and rear-axle steering.

Slicked-Back Roof

From the front, the Cayenne Coupe Electric closely resembles the standard version, with clean surfaces and horizontal lighting elements that emphasize width. From the A-pillar back, however, the differences become clear. The windshield is more steeply raked, the roofline drops more aggressively, and the rear is shorter, more tapered, and more sculpted.

Aerodynamics play a key role in the design. Features like the integrated adaptive spoiler and the Turbo model’s side flaps are functional as well as visual highlights. The Coupe achieves a drag coefficient of 0.23 and sits over 0.8 inches lower than the standard SUV, giving it a more planted stance across its nearly 16.4-foot length.

Inside, technology takes center stage. A fully digital instrument cluster is paired with a large curved central display and an optional passenger screen. An augmented-reality head-up display projects key information onto the road ahead.

Porsche strikes a thoughtful balance in the cabin by combining physical controls with digital interfaces, rather than relying entirely on touch inputs. The result is a more intuitive experience, especially while driving.

Personalization is another focus, with configurable displays, customizable graphics, and seamless app integration. More dramatic touches—like an electrochromic panoramic roof with adjustable tint and power-operated doors—add to the sense of occasion.

Despite the sloping roofline, practicality remains solid. Four adults can travel comfortably, and the cargo area is complemented by a 3.2-cubic-foot front trunk.

Pricing & Availability

The Cayenne Coupe Electric will debut at this year’s Beijing Auto Show. Order books are already open, with first deliveries expected in summer 2026. U.S. pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but based on the German market, it’s expected to start at around €110,000.


Motor1’s Take: We’re not shocked to see the Coupe version of the Cayenne Electric already. The gas version of the Cayenne Coupe was hugely successful for the brand, and we imagine this electric version will be too.
