A member of Donald Trump‘s family revealed the most recent text message that the president sent them.
During the April 21 episode of The Katie Miller Podcast, Lara Trump, the wife of the president’s son Eric, opened up about her relationship with her father-in-law.
She described him as the member of the family that was “most likely to call just to check in,” telling host Katie Miller that he “loves a good late-night random call, early morning chit-chat.”
Miller asked Lara to describe her most recent text message from the 79-year-old Republican, prompting an unexpected answer.

“I think it was a video that the White House put out, and it just said, ‘Love, DJT.’ It was like a video of some, like, bombing,” Lara said, adding that Donald was “proud of it.”
“It was good,” she added, seemingly describing the video as being “pro-America.”
It’s unclear what video Lara is referring to.
Elsewhere in the interview, Lara revealed something that she wanted people to understand about the controversial political figure.
“I just wish people would appreciate, especially people on the other side of the aisle, how much easier his life would have been if he’d never gotten involved in politics. You know, he’s the one president to leave the White House with less money than he went into it with. I mean, he’s had zeros off of his net worth because he became president, because he ran for president. They’ve gone after his businesses, they’ve gone after his family, his life prior to politics,” she said.
Lara insisted that Donald was “an incredibly genuine, good-hearted person, and he’s doing what he thinks is right.”
“And I remember him saying to all of us before he even announced [his intent to run] in 2015, ‘You know what, if I do this, I’m going to do it the right way. And if it means I only get one term in office, then that’s okay with me,’ ” she recalled.
The president has recently generated headlines as he has furiously gone after former allies, who have spoken out against him for decisions that he’s made since returning to office.
One former supporter apologized for their role in helping to get Donald elected, saying that it weighs on his conscience.
Meanwhile, the president has continued to use social media to make worrying threats amid his ongoing war in Iran before announcing the continuation of a ceasefire agreement with the country.
