The measure would be considered in exchange for Ghislaine’s cooperation in the collegiate’s investigation into Epstein, said committee president James Comer in an interview with Politico this Wednesday (22). Asked if he thought the deal was appropriate, Comer responded: “A lot of people think so. My committee is divided on that.” Ghislaine Maxwell is the only convicted accomplice in Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme. She has already been heard by the committee, but refused to answer questions, according to the report. The lawyer stated at the time that she would only speak if she received clemency — a power exclusive to Trump. According to Politico, Trump has not ruled out granting a pardon.
