“Devastated” Lizzo Breaks Down Over the Death of Activist Influencer Shirley Raines
Kelly Hopton-Jones is in deep reflection after what could’ve been a horrific tragedy.
The parenting influencer, known online by her blog Hillside Farmhouse, shared that her 23-month-old son Henryis recovering in the hospital with pelvis fractures after she accidentally ran him over with her car.
“Today has been the worst day of our lives,” Kelly—also mom to daughter Lily3, with husband Brian Hopton-Jones —wrote in an April 15 Instagram post. “Life can change in the literal blink of an eye.
Kelly, a pediatric nurse practitioner who has run her parenting blog for several years, shared that her young son had wandered behind the car as she and her daughter were pulling out of the driveway, en route to a dance performance.
“I was driving,” Kelly wrote. “Our neighbors stepped in immediately and took Lily and we rushed to the emergency room.”
Emphasizing how she was navigating a “true nightmare for parents,” she shared her son’s injuries were less severe than she worried, with no major internal injuries or head trauma.
