UNION, New Jersey (AP) — Police say one person was shot to death and six others were injured in what they call a mass shooting at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Union, New Jersey. Investigators do not believe the attack, around 9 p.m. Saturday, was random, according to a news release issued Sunday by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. No arrests were made, but the agency said there was “no immediate threat to public safety.” The injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to the statement. A ride-hailing driver told WABC he heard more than seven gunshots at close range as he approached the restaurant. The county District Attorney’s Office Homicide Task Force is investigating the case.
