Three people were stabbed in a major New York subway station on Saturday morning (11), police said. A man armed with a knife, identified as the perpetrator of the attack, was shot by agents on a station platform. The New York Police Department (NYPD) said officers responded to an emergency call at 9:40 a.m. about an assault at the 42nd Street-Grand Central station, one of the busiest in the city. When they arrived at the scene, they found the man and shot him. The suspect was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Until the last update of this report, there was no further information about the suspect’s health status. The three stabbing victims — an 84-year-old man, a 65-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman — were hospitalized and are in stable condition. Two police officers also underwent medical evaluation. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority said some trains were not stopping there due to the investigation.
