Janei Norman is saying good night to Good Morning America.
The weekend co-anchor confirmed her exit after nearly four years on the show, sharing that her time had been “cut short.”
“I have loved my job,” she began in an April 3 video on Instagram. “It has been a joy to connect with my co-workers and with viewers to help keep you informed, entertained and to create this community. So, it really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye.”
“I’m so sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye,” Janai continued. “It would have been fun.”
Still, the 36-year-old is looking on the bright side, saying that she looks forward to spending more time with her three young kids.
“I have worked weekends their whole lives,” Janai explained. “So now, they get more of me and that is worth everything.”
Sharing that she’s “deeply grateful for the love” she had received, she added in the caption of her video, “More to come when the time is right.”
