Rescue of American pilot in Iran was dramatic The Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Monday (6) that the United States operation to rescue one of its pilots may have been a front to “steal enriched uranium”. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai stated that there are “many doubts and uncertainties” about the operation, which he classified as a “disaster” for the US, and justified the accusation: “The area where the American pilot was alleged to be, in the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, is very far from the area where they tried to land or intended to land their forces in central Iran. The possibility that it was a deception operation to steal uranium enriched should not be ignored in any way.” Debris in Isfahan, Iran, of what Tehran says is US military aircraft.
