The two aircraft were shot on Friday (3) when they were flying over Iranian territory. In the first of them, two pilots were on board and ejected before crashing. Only one of them, however, had been found and rescued by US forces. Another, who was alone on board the second plane shot down by Iran, was also rescued (read more below).
