Ukraine has taken a new step in strengthening its military capabilities by approving the Sky Devil drone for series production.
Developed by the company SkyAtomthe equipment becomes part of the country’s arsenal as an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform, with autonomy of up to four hours and a range of 280 kilometers, expanding monitoring beyond the combat lines.
Designed to operate in scenarios of strong electronic interference, the drone stands out for being able to operate even without a GPS signal. Using a navigation system based on beacons, the Sky Devil maintains the active mission even under blockages or interference, an important difference given the increasing use of electronic warfare on the battlefield.
Another relevant point is the advanced set of sensors. Equipped with a dual camera — daytime and thermal — the system allows continuous surveillance in any light condition. With a zoom of up to 80 times, the drone is capable of identifying targets from kilometers away, reinforcing its efficiency in long-range reconnaissance missions.

Lightweight and simple to operate, the Sky Devil can be launched by catapult and recovered by parachute, reducing the need for specialized training. The introduction of the model reflects Ukraine’s effort to invest in national technology and develop drones that are more resistant to modern threats, especially in environments where electronic signals are constantly challenged.
