Supriya Ganesh is clocking out for the last time.

The Pitt actress, who portrays Dr. Samira Mohan, is leaving the HBO Max series after two seasons, multiple outlets confirmed April 2. Supriya’s last appearance will be in the season two finale, which airs April 16.

According to Variety, citing a person with knowledge, Supriya’s exit is a “story-driven decision,” considering her role as a senior resident at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center—a teaching hospital. Echoing this, a source also told TVLine that the show often models itself after real experiences.

Meanwhile, E! News can confirm Ayesha Harriswho plays night resident Dr. Parker Ellis, has been promoted to a series regular, which the actress celebrated on social media.

Dr. ELLIS got student loans to pay off, we gotta work a double shift!” Ayesha wrote in an April 2. “Lol. Been wanting to share this for a while now.”

Ayesha—who has also been part of The Pitt since its inaugural season in 2025—also added some parting words to her costar.
